Summary of Responsibilities

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineers to join our team as 1099 Contractors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering principles and experience in designing, developing, and testing electrical systems. As an integral part of our engineering team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet our customers' needs.

Pay: $50/hour

Essential Job Function

  • Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components.
  • Conduct Electrical Connector Assessments following FEMA style guidelines.
    • Checking and rating electrical connections/connectors for:
      1. Ease of connection/installation.
      2. Visibility of the connector/connection.
      3. Presence of secondary locking mechanisms.
      4. Additional criteria as specified by OEM.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into larger projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical systems during all stages of development.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Support product manufacturing, including providing technical guidance to production teams.
  • Work to a checklist provided by Client for Electrical Connector Assessments.
  • Stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering technology and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • years of experience in electrical engineering roles, preferably in Automotive Industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD, Altium Designer).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
  • Experience with electrical testing equipment and procedures.
  • Familiarity with simulation and modeling software (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink) is a plus.
